Visiting a church for the first time can bring questions. Here is a little about our Sunday gatherings so you can know what to expect before you arrive.
You are welcome to attend Bible classes, worship, or both. We look forward to getting to know you.
Study the Bible with us. Our studies are led by members of the congregation, with opportunities for questions and open discussion.
Gather with us for congregational singing, prayer, the Lord’s Supper, a message from Scripture, and an offering.
You are welcome to participate as much as you are comfortable with, or simply observe. We welcome you as you are.
We sing together without musical instruments, using our voices to praise God and encourage one another. Our songs reflect the New Testament teaching to sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with thankfulness in our hearts.
You are welcome to join in or simply listen as we worship.
Scripture references: Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16.
Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper on the night He was betrayed. Each Sunday, we share in the bread and the fruit of the vine to remember His death and commune in His body and blood.
Unleavened bread and grape juice are available near the entrance for you to pick up as you arrive. During worship, we offer prayers of thanksgiving before partaking.
Scripture references: Matthew 26:26–28; Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 10:16; 11:23–26.
A member of the congregation leads us in public prayer as we give thanks to God and bring our needs before Him.
Our worship service includes a sermon with minister Jim Coehoorn. We look to the Bible for guidance as we seek to understand God’s will and follow Jesus Christ.
The offering is intended for our members. Visitors may give if they choose, but are not expected to contribute.
An attended nursery is available for young children. Please ask a member of the congregation if you need help finding it.
Wear what you feel comfortable in. Some dress up, while others wear casual clothes. You are welcome here. God looks at the heart rather than outward appearance (1 Samuel 16:7).
Absolutely! We are all still learning, and many of us started with the same questions. You do not need to have all the answers before visiting. Come learn with us and seek the truth Jesus teaches (John 8:31–32).
Yes! We offer Sunday Bible classes for all ages, and children are welcome in worship. We value the opportunity for them to learn and worship alongside their parents. We understand that children sometimes get restless, and we are here to offer support.
Sunday Bible classes run from 9:15 to about 10:05 AM. Worship begins at 10:30 AM and usually ends between 11:30 and 11:45 AM. The break gives us time to visit and prepare for worship. You are welcome to attend both or come for worship.
We worship God through congregational singing, prayer, Scripture reading, a Bible lesson, and the Lord’s Supper each Sunday. We also take time to greet and encourage one another.
Sunday Bible classes begin at 9:15 AM. Worship begins at 10:30 AM.
You’ll find us at 100 W. Court St., Elkhorn, WI 53121.
