More than a familiar account
The ark is one of the Bible’s best-known images. Yet Genesis begins with the condition of the human heart and a man who found grace in God’s sight. This series follows the account in order, considering both the seriousness of sin and the mercy of God.
We will read what Scripture says about Noah, the ark, the flood, and the covenant. We will also examine how Jesus and the apostles refer to these events. Where the text leaves a detail unstated, we will distinguish the biblical account from an illustration or a suggestion.
Each lesson includes linked NKJV readings, an explanation, and questions for reflection or discussion. Use the Scripture links to consider the explanation alongside the text.

Take the next step in your study
Begin with Noah’s relationship with God, then follow the account one passage at a time. These lessons can be used for personal study or discussion with others.
The artwork is illustrative. The ark’s appearance and the people’s clothing, faces, and surroundings are imagined rather than exact reconstructions.
